Speaking of next level shit... To save the sound of Stradivarius violins forever, they brought in master luthiers, and recorded every note one at a time. Every transition. Every sound you could make. And now there's a database so one could craft new music with Stradivarius violins without owning one.
But the truly next level shit in here is that they shut down and put the cone of silence down around the recording studio so the street noise wouldn't fuck with the recordings.
Hey guys! I need help, my web server (nginx) default page is all messed up, with a very very weird message on it, anyone seen this before?
" Nothing there anymore! But the future’s ever changing, and something might appear there, someday! "
My log is filled with very odd stuff: http://lxp.fr/i3Mx0bbLG0
To make sure you don't miss them, here are the two announcements from our blog post published yesterday:
- Liberapay now supports 33 currencies! You should update your currency preferences if you haven’t done it yet: https://liberapay.com/about/me/edit/currencies
- SEPA Direct Debits are back! If you were previously unable to renew a Euro donation because you don't have any credit or debit card, you should be able to renew it now if you have a Euro bank account: https://liberapay.com/about/me/giving/pay/stripe/?method=sdd
Yaay! I got Ensemble (my #Matrix client) to work on my ancient (2009) Maemo smartphone!
Now to make the necessary changes so that it doesn’t drain the battery or data too fast (I have a 50MB data plan on this thing 😛)

There are so many cool cartoon artists (and other kinds as well of course!) on the fediverse… I wish I had money to commission them all. 😢
Help, I want to write a COMFY-RISCV assembler, and then rewrite the #Lisp in this assembly langage…
And since qemu now support RISC-V mainline, I can use it as a VM/IR like LLVM would be (with qemu-user), but it would also work as-is on #RISCV hardware…
I wanted to do this for a while, but intel assembly and binary encoding put me off very quickly…
I started looking at #KernelLisp during holidays, so I could escape the frenzy of family meetings.
In a few days I have read the whole report draft and implemented an interpreter… I think I’m hooked.
It feels exactly the same way than when I discovered #Scheme some years ago. Awesome magic backed by beautiful mathematical concepts.
