Parlons donc d'Unicode.

Toxic masculinity. Does that mean all masculinity is bad? No! Not at all.

This comic explains it fairly well. The term Toxic Masculinity is from Social Sciences, to help explain certain problems in the current image of Masculinity, which hurts both men and women.

Someone on Twitter mentioned that in some regions of Germany, a common idiom for whenever there's mist in the forest is "The foxes are making coffee", and thought the image was evocative enough for an illustration.

Speaking of next level shit... To save the sound of Stradivarius violins forever, they brought in master luthiers, and recorded every note one at a time. Every transition. Every sound you could make. And now there's a database so one could craft new music with Stradivarius violins without owning one.

But the truly next level shit in here is that they shut down and put the cone of silence down around the recording studio so the street noise wouldn't fuck with the recordings.

Hey guys! I need help, my web server (nginx) default page is all messed up, with a very very weird message on it, anyone seen this before?

" Nothing there anymore! But the future’s ever changing, and something might appear there, someday! "

My log is filled with very odd stuff: lxp.fr/i3Mx0bbLG0

Patreon (or the likes) for receiving donations as the developer of a few small FOSS projects? Is it a good idea? What kind of perks would be interesting, appropriate?

To make sure you don't miss them, here are the two announcements from our blog post published yesterday:

- Liberapay now supports 33 currencies! You should update your currency preferences if you haven’t done it yet: liberapay.com/about/me/edit/cu

Discord is valued at 1.65 _billion_ dollars.

What kind of person can look at that and go "ah, yes, this free chat service is totally not gonna screw us out of private data for profit"?

Yaay! I got Ensemble (my client) to work on my ancient (2009) Maemo smartphone!

Now to make the necessary changes so that it doesn’t drain the battery or data too fast (I have a 50MB data plan on this thing 😛)
